Acton Academy Knoxville is part of the network of over 300 Acton Academies around the world. We follow the same exact Learning Design (curriculum) and learning model that our owners helped create at the original Acton Academy campus.
Children learn best when working with those younger and older than themselves rather than split up into groups based solely on age. In addition to individualized curriculum, all ages of students work together in groups. Mixed age classrooms help to foster independence and support social and emotional growth.
We currently have one studio: Spark (lower elementary) for ages approximately 4-8. We have plans to open an upper elementary, middle, and high school in the future.
We operate on a ten month calendar, but our flexible program allows families to travel together during the year, without significant disruption. We have also attempted, when possible, to align our academic calendar with KCS breaks to make things easier for those with students at multiple schools.
For the 2026-2027 school year, the year will start on Aug ### and end on June ###. The schedule is 7 sessions with a week-long break in between each session.

Flexible drop-off: 8:00–8:30am
Flexible pick-up: 3:00–3:30pm
Children arrive dressed for the outdoors between 8:30-9:00 a.m.
Our program is a 10 month program, beginning in August and ending in May. Visit our calendar for closings.
Tuition is $870/mo for a 10 month year ($9,570/yr). Tuition may be paid monthly, or the total year’s tuition may be paid in advance. Monthly payments are due the first of each month. A total year’s tuition receives a 5% discount.
Sibling discounts are as follows:
– 1st Sibling discount: 10% off annual tuition
– 2nd Sibling discount: 15% off annual tuition
– 3rd and beyond discount: 15% annual tuition amount
**Additional discount: 5% off for paying the year in full.
A non-refundable, one time only, registration fee of $500 will be due with enrollment. An annual $150 materials fee is due for all returning learners.
